You’ve seen our host Frank Pinello visit pizzerias all across the country—now it’s time to get to know Frank and his own pizzeria, Best Pizza, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Frank takes us to the Culinary Institute of America where he first honed his passion for cooking, then to Giacomo’s, the first pizzeria he ever worked in, and finally to the neighborhood he grew up in: Bensonhurst, Brooklyn.

There’s no better way to get to know Frank than through the eyes of his family, so we hit some of his favorite neighborhood places and end it all with a Pinello family dinner, complete with Nonna, pizza potatoes and scratch-offs.

  2. This episode, let alone this whole series has truly inspired me to open up a," Best Pizza" in my home town! Literally I've worked in pizza/fast food for the past 15 years. What my home town wants and honestly truly needs is A "Best Pizza'!!! Homemade cheeses. Dough sauce everything!

  3. One thing to keep in mind is the brands of the products theyre using. To make great pizza you need great ingredients, You wont find great brands at your local supermarket no more than you would find great clothes off the rack at your local walmart. Instead of blowing tons of doe with trial and error, just look at what the pro's use in these videos and start from there, in that way the taste and flavor is on target.
