  1. Wow Bhavna! Idlis are one of my very favorite dishes! I ferment mine for a very sour taste and just before steaming, I add thinly sliced hot, green peppers, black mustard seeds and freshly minced ginger. After I make them I keep them in a plastic sealed container and snack on them all day long! I never thought to put 3 different kinds of rice in it and the channa dal is very interesting. When I eat them I don't use sambar but I sometimes just dip them in yogurt that has chopped cilantro in it. Now I'm going to have to make this tomorrow! I'm going to throw some channa dal into it like you did for your recipe! Thanks for sharing this!
